In the winter 23/24 Mario & Tito repaired the roof as agreed in November. When we visited the village in
April 24 to sign the deeds, we went to the building site and met up with the two boys. It had been an
especially wet winter in the area and I joked with Mario, saying that, had we not fixed the hole in the roof,
we would have had a pool inside the house. He looked at me and said: “ You would have no more house!!
It would have collapsed easily with all that rain!!”
Lucky us to have had the idea of fixing the roof of a house that was not even ours yet!
We signed the deeds and were now the proud owners of another ruin with a new roof!
